Weston Whippets Running Club offers led runs and coached sessions to all aged 4 and over who wish to benefit from running. We offer varied sessions each week and all of our sessions are led by an EA qualified Coach or Run Leader. We also offer the EA funetics programme to athletes aged 4 - 12 years.
Weston Whippets have funded a large number of members to gain their LIRF (run leader) or CiRF (coach) to ensure that we are delivering a brilliant variation of sessions and courses. All of our qualified volunteers are DBS certified and hold a Safeguarding certificate. A number of our volunteers are First Aid trained and carry their team kit on each club run.
All of our adult runs are bookable on our Run Together page.
This session meets every Monday to offer a simple 5k run on a 4 week rota.
The idea of this run is to encourage our runners to come along to a session and run according to how they feel. It is a great run for those returning from injury, those who want to build confidence in their running or to support your recovery run after a long run. Your pace is determined by you with support from the team.
This is a much loved session within the club and is very quickly booked up. All attending must be able to comfortably manage 5k.

The funetics courses encourage our smaller athletes to have fun while being active. We deliver structured sessions working on the fundamentals of athletics: Run, Jump and Throw using the A, B, C's (agility, balance and coordination). These sessions are fun and support the children to build their confidence in sport, supporting their ability and understanding as they go.

Wednesday is our run session. We offer varied runs including endurance, hill work, trail and sprints.
